The Valley of Vision







 2 Chronicles 16:9

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.  

If you've never studied the eye in the Bible it's very interesting.  God saw His creation and said it is good, so He has eyes, and His eyes roam the earth to seek out those who crave Him.  He alone sees all, don't worry about the all seeing eye, it's going to be plucked out soon and cast out into Hell.  

And the eye is powerful, obviously, because God says if it's leading us to hell pluck it out, better to make it to heaven with one eye than hell with two, right? 

What we see, what we watch, matters very much to God.  And we must pray for God to give us eyes to see, to see His glory, to see His armies in the midst of the craziness of this world, to see His Word rightly with truth and power, to see His beauty, to see the cross, to see Him at God's side in heaven...

While we don't have the pleasure of having seen Jesus with our own eyes in the flesh, others did and wrote down all about it!  So please turn off the TV and ask God for eyes to see and read His Word, He will give you wisdom and insight beyond your understanding!  

If you're reading this right now, pray that God would give you eyes to see!  It's really wild what's going on in this world, wow.  The more you know the more you pray Come Quickly Lord Jesus Do Not Tarry! 

I'm not reading a lot besides the Bible right now, but this book of prayers, the Valley of Vision, I do still read a prayer a day from.  

I think I first learned of these prayers from my dear friend from college Sonya, when I visited her for dinner one night, either her husband or another man read a prayer from this collection before we ate dinner, and I was like wow.  WOW!  What mighty prayer!  I want this for myself! 

I looked the book up online, and sometimes I do care about vanity I guess because I decided to order the leather bound one.  But I ordered three, gave one to Megan, gave one to Alexandra, for Christmas one year I think.  I don't know if they've read these prayers, actually I know Alexandra has but from the copy of the book another friend gave her... whatever the source, these prayers are encouraging and powerful. 

When I went into the hospital in 2009, I think this may have been the only book I had with me, because my Bible had metal and they wouldn't allow it. (Metal in psych ward might be scary... my brother got kicked out visiting me because he foolishly brought in a fork for me to eat some salad from our garden... he was showing his love for me though!) 

Anyhow, I kept asking for a Bible because I knew they had them and would give, but I had this little book of prayers with me.  And I knew they were powerful as all get out!

I made a friend with a young woman, can't say her name for confidentiality reasons, but she wasn't a Christian and I wanted to give her a gift... I just kept wanting to give everything away!

I gave her my special colored pencil that Megan had blessed... (Megan said she wouldn't give me more so I stopped giving those precious things away.) 

I wrote in the Presented to page, Enjoy Puritan Prayers these guys see straight.  On the occasion of Going Home Soon.  

She didn't take it.  I think she knew I was crazy and didn't want to take something so valuable from me, even though I was more than willing to give, there's more copies I could get!  

Then, the last night I was in hospital, a young man came in, and we talked, and He was a Christian but had married a Mormon and realized now it was a cult and asked me to pray for him and his family, I confess I haven't done that too much since.  Lord, let this young man's family not be deceived by this cult, and bring them to saving faith.  :)

Of course he was my brother in Christ so I tried to give it to him.  He wrote in it, Love my one and only bro. Cool stuff in this book haven't read it yet. You. Holla! 

So I've claimed this copy mine now and put my stamp in it twice!

My best friend from youth Megan just unfortunately shared a sad prayer request that maybe she's losing her sight, and how scary it is.  I don't know that feeling.  She has already had to suffer too much in her body, I don't want her to lose her sight as well. 

But I assured her, she sees more clearly than most people I know because she sees Jesus and dwells at His feet worshipping.  

He is coming soon!  

Ask for eyes to see!

New Blog!

 Okay, I've calmed down, after a hospital stint for 12 days, and 6 weeks of outpatient therapy.  I've still got a lot of recovery work to do and things to heal from and places to go that may be dark and emotionally scary.  But, wow, I'm so blessed, I've got so much support and love from people all around.  I had meals come to me magically for over a month from friends, and I'm not driving yet get everywhere I need to go from all kinds of friends!  So, thank you for your prayers and support.  I certainly can use them. I do struggle with anxiety, and it's hard to know, am I manic, or anxious, or nervous, or actually calm somehow.  I'm sleeping alright, I wish it was always a consecutive 8 hours, but it seems I wake up to go the bathroom.  Usually I fall back asleep, but sometimes my mind goes and I get up to journal or write a song, something quiet.  It worries mom obviously when my light goes on.  I really don't want to go back to the hos...

Our Lives ARE NOT COINCIDENCE!!!

  In 2009 I lost my mind.   Or at least I lost the ability to communicate what was on my mind… Well, there definitely was some delusional thinking mixed in I suppose… particularly when I was in the hospital it got bad, leading up to that I’m not sure what was delusion and what was me learning to walk in faith instead of fear… Which, I completely lost momentum in that voyage quickly after my hospital stint.   I digress.   The year 2009… I determined would be a year of JOY.   That was it.   I’d lived with bitterness and resentment over my life’s circumstances for too long.   I was here, in Clemmons, for a reason.
